Phil Reimer--As you may know, Norwegian Cruise Lines ran into technical problems. Not sure what they were, something to do with the "homujinger" and the "watchamacallit"—as you can tell, I have no idea. It occurred when they left San Juan on the Norwegian Dawn last week, leaving them floating in the Caribbean—not so bad an idea. The ship was near San Juan and it was put into port. The customers received 75% of their money back and 50% off another Norwegian Cruise.
Here is the good news, the ship is fixed and the next cruise to the Southern Caribbean will leave as scheduled on December 4.

If I were to write "31L," how many out there would know what I was talking about? Don’t be shy, put up your hands. Just as I thought, only a few and I bet most of you are pilots—whether on the big ones or flying for pleasure types.
This spring, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey are going to close 31L and it’s not going to be pleasant. 31L means 31 Left and it’s a major runway at Kennedy Airport. In fact, it is the busiest runway.
They are closing it for four months for major surgery. You might want to avoid NY, even if you're just changing planes. If you have to go to the city lucky you, I love NY.
I won’t go into details but the FAA claims they will bring extra equipment and people in to help control the airport. The fact that most of the airlines are delaying the start of their summer increase in aircraft for a month tells me that it’s going to be hectic.
Just something to consider if you have a choice where you change planes.
